CLOBEGO GM CREAM is a combination of Clobetasol, Miconazole and Neomycin which belongs to the group of medicines called Corticosteroids, Antifungals and Antibiotics. It is used to manage resistant dermatoses (skin infections) with secondary bacterial or fungal infection.
CLOBEGO GM CREAM is not recommended for use in patients with rosacea, acne vulgaris, perioral dermatitis, perianal and genital pruritus, viral infections (ex. herpes simplex, chickenpox) and perforated eardrum. CLOBEGO GM CREAM is generally not recommended for use in pregnancy unless considered clearly necessary. CLOBEGO GM CREAM should be used with caution in breastfeeding women as it is not known whether it may pass through the breast milk. Contact your doctor before applying. Dosage adjustment is not required for CLOBEGO GM CREAM in the geriatric population. However, greater sensitivity of some older individuals cannot be ruled out. Contact your doctor before applying. The most common side effects of this medicine are skin rash, itching, redness, burning sensation and contact dermatitis. Contact your physician if any of the symptoms worsen.
CLOBEGO GM CREAM helps to manage infection, where Clobetasol have anti-inflammatory, antipruritic, and vasoconstrictive properties, which blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen, and itchy. Miconazole belongs to antifungal which stops the growth of fungi while Neomycin belongs to antibiotic which stops the growth of bacteria in the skin.
Apply CLOBEGO GM CREAM as directed by your physician. It is for external use only. Wash your hands with soap and water and apply a thin layer of the medicine to the affected area of the skin and rub it gently. Avoid contact with eyes, face, groin or in the skin folds.
Stop applying CLOBEGO GM CREAM and contact your physician immediately if you experience any of the following side effects:
Avoid hot showers because hot water can irritate the skin. Do not scratch the affected area. Use sunscreen and protective clothing when outdoors. Regularly use unscented moisturizers to soothe and hydrate the affected area. Contact your doctor if itching worsens.
